Come Rain or Shine
One of my favorite things about having such amazingly creative friends is the fabulous ideas they come up with for photo shoots!! You might remember Sue from this Trash-the-Dress session at Bloedel Donovan Park. Well, she’s started a new blog called Age Improves With Wine. It’s a blog about, well, aging with style, I’d say. She doesn’t hold anything back. She says it how she wants to say it and doesn’t worry about what anyone might think. If you don’t like it or are offended by it, don’t read it. That’s her motto. I like that. I like a woman who’s not afraid to say whatever it is that’s on her mind!
Here’s a bit from her first post, “Life isn’t about stages or milestones or changes as much as it is living each day to it’s fullest potential. I’ve heard the now-over-used phrase that when I die I want to go “sliding into homebase”, basically saying I’m not going to give into other people’s ideas of what my middle aged behavior should be and just sit down and wait it out. I’m going to keep on riding my bike, acting in theatre, laughing – loud and hearty, drinking good wine…”
So, getting to my point… I was thrilled (as I usually am with any of her ideas) when I heard what she had in mind for our most recent photo shoot. Our summer has been, well, really like Fall. Cool and cloudy. She decided to do a post playing off that. I like to call it “Come Rain or Shine.”
